What is the printing process like in-depth?

We print your art using top-of-the-line printers and canvases, our current workhorses being the Canon Pro-4000S and Epson SureColor P9000. These printers use archival pigmented inks that are guaranteed to not fade for a century. We regularly calibrate our printers and monitors to ensure that the colors and tones in your image files match the results on paper. Please note that the final print may look different than what you are seeing on your screen. This is because most people do not have color-calibrated monitors, and you will experience a range of color saturation and tone based on the type of monitor you have as well as the screen brightness settings. One final note: We have several quality control steps built into our printing process. However, because we are dealing with fine art materials, they may infrequently contain very small flaws such as a tiny white dot on the image, or tiny mark that may have been embedded in the paper prior to printing.

If your print arrives with a major issue or defect, please contact us immediately here: support@theclassicprints.com

For minor flaws such as the ones described above that are inherent to the creation of hand made, fine art products, and ones that are only visible upon very close inspection or with a magnifying glass, we cannot offer reprints at our expense. To keep our printing prices reasonable, we can't justify the environmental cost of throwing away good prints with the smallest of imperfections.

Tips on frame upkeep

For wooden frames, use a dust cleaner or slightly damp cloth with water. Refrain from using wood polish or cleaning sprays since this could create moisture and possibly damage the contents.

Extra Tips:

Dust your frames regularly to avoid accumulation of dirt. If you want to disassemble the frame for a thorough cleaning, be sure to lay the various components onto a clean dust-free towel or blanket. Make sure all components are completely dry before reassembly.

Damaged or incorrect frames received?

Each frame is thoroughly inspected before being packed, and we add as much protection to the packaging as we can reasonably provide. Once an order leaves our studio, though, it's out of our hands. Damage to the frames is rare but may occur during transit.

If you do discover damage or anything else unexpected when you unpack your order, let us know right away using our contact form.

In addition to describing the damage or issue, take photos so that we can see what happened and come up with the best possible solution.

Please also hold onto the packaging. We may need it to complete a damage claim with the carrier, or for sending back your frames if necessary.

Under our Happiness Guarantee, we will replace any frame that reaches you with shipping damage or a defect in craftsmanship, or if it doesn’t match the artwork dimensions specified in the order.
